International Community
Nalanda University is putting its best efforts in enhancing student development and promoting diversity as well as inclusion within the campus community, including its students. An open climate of excellent learning even beyond the classroom, cross-cultural exchange, and an international orientation are vital to Nalanda University’s evident successes in these areas. Its programmes continued to attract students from all the corners of the world. The international student community at Nalanda represents 30-plus nationalities. For the academic year 2022-23, the University had 822 students in total. For the academic year 2023-24, the University had admitted 1038 students (including Masters, Global PhD & Short Programmes as per January cycle).

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The University provides a borderless learning experience. Most of Nalanda’s students are, thus, international. Students from 24 countries live together on the campus, enriching its multi-cultural fabric. Since the University is engaged in shaping future thought leaders of the world, its primary focus is the promotion of universal peace and global harmony. Nalanda, therefore, stands unique at the international cultural and spiritual confluence as it strives to provide a home to its international students and bring together future leaders of Asia and the world.
For the academic year 2023-24, a total of 187 international students are presently on strength at the University in various Master’s and PhD programs.
