VC receives the prestigious International Education Award in London World Summit.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University, Prof. Sunaina Singh was conferred the prestigious International Education Award-2018 for her outstanding services, achievements and contribution to Education at the World Education Summit organised by the NRI Welfare Society of India at the House of Lords in London on 19th April in a glittering ceremony. The event was attended by luminaries of education from across the globe apart from the ‘who is who’ from the UK NRI community.
The citation mentioned her yeoman services to the education sector in India and abroad. She was one amongst the 25 others from across the globe who were honoured in the evening at the House of Lords. There was special mention of Prof. Sunaina Singh for keeping the “Flag of India high”. A special reception was also held for the Awardees later in the evening.
Reacting to querries from the media, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor said, “It is an honour to receive this award at the Global Education Summit in London’s House of Commons. This is also an acknowledgement of Nalanda University’s unique mandate as an avant-garde institution. With the support of the Ministry of External Affairs and the Bihar Government, Nalanda University is on a growth trajectory to establish itself as a global knowledge centre and thought leader’.
