Connecting Classrooms and Communities
September 25, 2025 | Under the Sahabhāgita Samvāda initiative, Nalanda University organized a special workshop for over 350 students and teachers from nearby schools. They witnessed a live Kalaripayattu demonstration, promoting shared learning and cultural appreciation.

Fostering Green Action through School Sustainability Toolbox
September 27, 2025 | The NU Expedition Team visited B.R. Ambedkar Girls School, Rajgir & launched the School Sustainability Toolbox to inspire young learners toward environmental stewardship. The toolbox, themed “Learn. Act. Grow Green,” offers month-wise action plans such as tree plantation drives, waste segregation activities, and creative reuse of materials. Innovative games like “Sorting Relay” and “Energy Detectives” make sustainability fun and practical for students. The Birthday Planting campaign encourages every child to plant and nurture a sapling, fostering a lifelong connection with nature. The initiative reflects Nalanda’s commitment to building a greener, more responsible future.
Art for Inclusion
September 28, 2025 | A sculpture-making workshop, themed “Sahabhāgita: Artistic Engagement for Aesthetic Enrichment,” brought together NU students and Jeevika Didis, celebrating creativity and women’s empowerment.

Celebrating Togetherness
September 29, 2025 | In a festive spirit, Indian and international students of Nalanda celebrated Raasotsav with traditional Garba dances, blending art, joy and unity in Nalanda’s vibrant community life.
Sahabhāgita Samvāda: Strengthening Community Learning
September 27, 2025 | Nalanda University hosted a Sahabhāgita Samvāda bringing together representatives from ten neighbouring schools for a constructive dialogue on shared learning and resource exchange with senior university officials.
The discussions focused on collaborative initiatives such as campus visits to experience sustainable living practices, Sanskrit and foreign language sessions for local students, and skill development and career counselling programmes. Participants also explored ways to integrate environmental awareness and holistic education into community learning. The initiative reflects Nalanda University’s enduring commitment to walking hand in hand with its local community, nurturing young minds through knowledge, compassion and shared responsibility.
