SIPS witnessed an active quarter, marked by wide-ranging student, faculty and institutional engagement in international events, research and intellectual pursuits.

International Conferences and Events

  • SIPS students participated as organizing team members and rapporteurs in the International Conference on Global South and Triangular Cooperation, held at Taj Palace, New Delhi. Notable contributors included Richa Sharma, Ayushi Pandey, Fahad Zeya, Ananta Chakraborty, and Nandigalla Karan Kumar.​
  • Students engaged in the Urban Adda Conference and ICWA’s panel on “Operation Sindoor,” with involvement from Chandan Kannam, Kushubu Kumri Yadav, Preeti Kumari, and Swetang Choubey.​
  • Interns also attended a strategic gaming exercise in partnership with the United Service Institution of India and workshops leveraging digital tools for research in collaboration with Chakra Foundation.​

Research Presentations & Publications

  • SIPS students published across platforms including The Geojuristoday, ICWA, Aviation Defence Universe, CENJOWS, The Daily Guardian, Eurasian Times, Hindu, and Blitz.
  • Highlights include Swetang Choubey’s work on climate migration, Kushubu Kumari Yadav’s writing on the India-South Korea semiconductor partnership, and Monika Kumari’s defense and maritime articles.
  • Anton Chakma presented at the 1st International Social Research Nexus Conference; Anushka Padmanabh Antrolikar and Himanshi Gupta published op-eds and research on BIMSTEC, the Indo-Pacific, and trade dynamics. Deputy Dean, SIPS, Dr. Rajeev Ranjan Chaturvedy co-authored key op-eds.​

Student Leadership & Participation

  • Students like Aarabhi Bhatt, Surbhi Rani, Tri Melinda, Samriddhi Khandelwal, Sakshi Kapoor, Anubhuti Jain, and Aarya R.P. Sardesai contributed to events such as Independence Day celebrations, debate forums, Kalaripayattu martial arts workshops, and interactive lecture series.

Collaborative Endeavors

  • SIPS faculty mentored and collaborated with students, reflected in joint publications and moderation of expert lectures, and sessions on geopolitics led by Air Marshal V Dr. M. Matheswaran.​
