Orientation 2017 for the incoming class of 2019 concluded on 04 August 2017.

The orientation of the new batch of student for 2017-19 was held on 02-04 August 2017. The students for the class of 2019 joined the University not only from all over India but from the countries across the world.

The three days Orientation Programme started with the registration/enrolment of the Students in their respective Schools. On the first day, after registration, the students were introduced to the historic city of Rajgir, followed by an information session on the Rubrics of the University life.

The Second day of the Orientation programme started with introducing the Campus to the students and different functionaries of various departments at the University. The students were exposed to the Library and its processes in a separate session conducted by the officials of library. The students were also taken to the main site and briefed about the construction of the upcoming campus on the 462 acres of land. This event was followed by their visit to the ruins of erstwhile Nalanda Mahavihara. Some of the Faculty members accompanied the students to the site of our predecessor.

The third day started with a presentation on the upcoming NET ZERO campus by the University’s engineering team. This was followed by a workshop on gender sensitization, where apart from the various sensitivities related to gender differentiation, the students were also made to understand the law governing the sexual harassment at workplace. The elaborate session was conducted by invited guests and experts from different organizations.

During the second half of the third day the students were oriented by their respective Schools, where they were introduced to the various faculty members of the schools and were also acquainted to the course structure and the pedagogy to be used during the programme of study.

The Orientation was concluded with the address of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunaina Singh, where she shared the vision of the University with the incoming class of 2019.
