Course Introduction:

The This course falls under the A1 level of ‘Common European Framework of Reference’ for German language. In this course, it is required to cover A1 level of German. Thus, in this course students will be introduced to basic structures and various contexts of the language. Various competences such as oral and written will be dealt with.

Course Objectives:

• Enables the students to listen and understand the spoken German language which uses simple present tense sentences.
• Enables the students to speak and engage in situation based simple dialogues in German.
• Enables the students to read and understand the texts simple present tense.
• Enables the students to write simple sentences and short paragraphs in German.
• Enables the students to the read and understand historical, social, and cultural aspects of Germany and other German speaking countries.
