Course Introduction:

Learning the Spanish language, we focus on equipping students with the fundamentals of Spanish language to help them with good Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills. The syllabus is designed to orient the students to conversational Spanish. Students will be given an insight into various aspects of culture and learning to communicate in everyday life. .

Course Objectives:

This course is a beginners’ level course designed for students with no prior knowledge of the Spanish language. The course is structured to introduce the students to the most elementary concepts of the Spanish language and slowly graduate to the more advanced ones over the duration of one semester in a graded fashion.

This course seeks to enable the students to acquire the following objectives:

• Build foundational Spanish communication skills with a focus on practical application.
• Develop the linguistic competence in Spanish language, i.e. listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Familiarize students with essential grammar structures and vocabulary for communication in daily life.
• Introduce cultural elements of Spanish-speaking countries through interactive learning activities
