The past quarter has been marked by a series of high-impact engagements that underscore Nālandā’s growing influence in global academia & its commitment to collaborative excellence

• 22 May 2025: Nalanda University Vice Chancellor Professor Sachin Chaturvedi held an engaging interaction with Post-Doctoral Fellows and Ph.D. scholars, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas to shape the university’s academic roadmap. This session highlighted Nālandā’s emphasis on nurturing young scholars and integrating their perspectives into our vision.

• 29 May 2025: In a series of courtesy meetings, Professor Sachin Chaturvedi met with Prof. Siddharth Singh, Vice Chancellor of Nava Nalanda Mahavihara & Prof. Ravindra Kumar, Vice Chancellor of Nalanda Open University. These discussions focused on fostering synergies among Nalanda-based institutions to enrich the region’s academic legacy & promote collaborative initiatives.

• 15 June 2025: Vice Chancellor met H.E. Ms. Krisnamurthi, Ambassador of Indonesia, and H.E. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Ambassador of Vietnam, in Delhi. These meetings strengthened civilizational bonds and explored avenues for academic collaborations.

• 17 June 2025: A significant milestone was achieved with the signing of an MoU with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), aimed at deepening institutional collaboration in research and policy development.

• 19 June 2025: A delegation led by Mr. Peters Chen, Director of Education, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, visited Nālandā’s campus. Discussions with Professor Sachin Chaturvedi explored future academic partnerships, particularly in cultural and educational exchanges.

• 8 July 2025: Vice Chancellor Professor Sachin Chaturvedi met Hon’ble Chief Minister, Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar in Patna, discussing the university’s Net-Zero initiative and its potential as a model for other institutions in Bihar.

• 9 July 2025: A meeting with Hon’ble Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, highlighted Nālandā’s evolving role in global academia and its development roadmap as a center of excellence.

• 10-11 July 2025: Vice Chancellor Professor Sachin Chaturvedi participated in the Vice Chancellors’ Conference at Kevadia, coinciding with Guru Purnima. The event provided a platform for collective reflection on the National Education Policy (NEP) and its implications for higher education.

• 12 July 2025: Addressing the First Annual Academic Conference on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Professor Sachin Chaturvedi emphasized the role of IKS in offering holistic worldviews and transformative pedagogy.
