Brief Biography
Dr. Sayantan Nag Chowdhury is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Nalanda University. He graduated as the Gold Medalist in M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Calcutta and subsequently earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the same university, with research conducted at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata. Prior to joining Nalanda University, he held postdoctoral positions at the University of California, Davis (USA) and Constructor University (Germany).
His research lies at the interface of applied mathematics, nonlinear dynamics, complex systems, network science, and mathematical modelling, with applications to ecological, biological, social, and technological systems. His work combines rigorous mathematical analysis with computational approaches to understand synchronization, collective behavior, extreme events, and higher-order interactions in complex networks.
Dr. Nag Chowdhury has authored 29 peer-reviewed research articles published in leading international journals, including Physical Review E, Physics Reports, Proceedings of the Royal Society A, Chaos, and Journal of Theoretical Biology. His work has received over 1,300 citations (h-index: 21), reflecting its impact on the fields of nonlinear dynamics and complex systems.

Research Experience
Over eight years of research experience in applied mathematics and complex systems, spanning doctoral research at the University of Calcutta (conducted at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata) and postdoctoral appointments at the University of
California, Davis (USA), and Constructor University (Germany). My research integrates mathematical analysis, dynamical systems theory, and scientific computing to investigate nonlinear dynamics, complex networks, synchronization, higher-order interactions, topological phases, ecological modelling, and extreme events.
