Bhutan Journalist Group Visits Nalanda University

A delegation of Journalists from Bhutan on ‘Familiarization Visit’ to India from 23-30 Nov 2018 as guests of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India visited the Nalanda University on the 24 th November 2018. The delegation spent the morning at the Nalanda Ruins, located about 15 kilometers from the present campus of the University. They evinced keen interest in the history of the ancient University and appreciated the architecture and the enormity of knowledge it generated over seven centuries of its existence. They were happy to know the legacy is being taken forward by the modern Nalanda University in its present avatar and how it plans to emerge as a knowledge soft power of the future.

Shri Fakhruddin Ahmad, Under Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs (Government of India) accompanied the visitors from Bhutan.
