BIMSTEC Scholarship for Nalanda University

These scholarships were announced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji at the fourth Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) summit held in Kathmandu in 2018. The scholarships to the students from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand to pursue higher studies at Nalanda University.

Who can apply?

Students from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand who are aspiring to pursue higher studies at Nalanda University can apply for this scholarship.

What does it cover?

This scholarship will cover one time to-and-fro transportation expenses (including air fare). It will also cover academic related fee: one time admission, and tuition fee, and residential accommodation. In addition, students will also get contingency allowance, and a monthly stipend to meet meal charges and miscellaneous needs.
