Dr. Rajat Panwar

Dr. Rajat Panwar is an Associate Professor of Sustainable Business Management and Director of Sustainable Natural Resource Management Certificate at Oregon State University. A native to India, Dr. Rajat Panwar is an inter-disciplinary scholar with research interests at the interface of corporate strategy and sustainability. Dr. Panwar has earned two doctoral degrees: a PhD in Forest Products and a DBA in Sustainability and Strategy. The sectoral focus of his work has primarily been on forest products industry, food industry, and tourism industry. Dr. Panwar is an Associate Editor of the journal Business & Society and serves on the editorial boards of the Business Strategy & the Environment, Business Strategy & Development, and Organization & Environment. Dr. Panwar is a past associate editor for the annual meetings of the Organization & Natural Environment (ONE) and Social Issues in Management (SIM) divisions of the Academy of Management. Dr. Panwar has published his work in business, forestry, and inter-disciplinary outlets such as Business and Society, California Management Review, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Organization and Environment, Business Strategy and the Environment, and Forest Policy & Economics. He has co-edited two books at the intersection of forests, businesses, and sustainability.

Dr. Panwar is a versatile instructor with teaching experience at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. His teaching interests include corporate sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and international business management.
