An Economist and Management Professional by training, Dr. Sangeeta brings in more than 16 years of experience of working in the Sustainable development arena. She has been working as an international expert in policy, strategy and implementation for inclusive and sustainable value chain development & and entrepreneurship; Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) cluster development, circular economy and resource efficiency; technology & and innovation; sustainable consumption & production (SCP); and green energy & climate change mitigation. She has led programs working across positions as team leader and project manager, advisor of agencies like EU, UNIDO, UNDP, ADB, AfDB, SDF, GIZ, World Bank, & KfW and also various bilateral, multilateral organizations and Ministries. Through her significant work she has gained recognition as international expert in addressing multiple Sustainable Development Goals which includes SDG-1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 17.
With deep hands-on field experience, Sangeeta has a proven track record of working in sectors like- Textiles; Engineering, Foundry; Plastic; Leather and footwear, Bamboo; Minor Forest Products; Agri and food processing; Fragrance and flavor; Handloom and handicrafts and Tourism.
Dr. Sangeeta has helped multiple countries to prepare their MSME development policies/ programmes; and undertaken more than 70 training and capacity building programs for policy stakeholders, development practitioners and Industry Associations globally. She has also undertaken more than 25 policy studies; more than 80 Value Chains and Diagnostic studies; developed several training modules, session notes & and methodology documents; created result-based management systems, and implemented ICT tools for knowledge management and enterprise development solutions. Sangeeta has been actively involved in creating institutional platforms that spur innovation through “Policy-Academia-Industry” collaborations for world-class research and development.
As a visiting faculty to some of the premier business schools and universities, Sangeeta has been teaching courses like Econometrics, Social Research Methods, Market Research and Entrepreneurship to the Post Graduate Students.
