Mr. Shantanu Gupta is the Chief General Manager at National Biofuel & Energy Strategies. Currently, as the Chief General Manager for the Indian Oil Corporation, he serve as an instrumental contributor to the success of this USD $84b organization by igniting a nationwide transition to biofuel including up to 10% ethanol blended petroleum products (global-leading standard) across India and 5% biodiesel blended HSD. Along with reducing emissions and improving air quality, this initiative also resulted in generation of $200M USD as revenues and $300M USD as annual savings. His work also led negotiations with over 100 vendors to cement procurement of $2 b USD worth of ethanol and achieved government-mandated 10% blending target in major States and 6.5% pan India.
Additionally, Mr. Gupta has a reputation for implementing innovative process improvements that optimize inventory control, curtail product shrinkage, and maximize supply chain operations. As a business-savvy leader, he has deployed marketing strategies that effectively launch new brands and products. Mr. Gupta is a polished and persuasive communicator with a history of motivating national teams of executives, delivering compelling conference, presentations, and negotiating complex contracts. His practical experience is complemented by a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management.
