Research Experience
I am an interdisciplinary researcher and science-policy scholar working at theintersection of biotechnology, sustainability, regulatory science, biosafety, responsible innovation, and the socially responsive and ethically groundedgovernance of emerging technologies. My work integrates experimental biologicalsciences (with preclinical models) with systems thinking, environmentalgovernance, biosecurity frameworks, and emerging technology regulation, with aparticular focus on Global South perspectives and sustainable developmentpathways. Over the years, my research interests have evolved towardunderstanding how scientific and technological innovations can be aligned withpublic well-being, ecological sustainability, societal resilience, and equitabledevelopment. I am particularly interested in the governance challenges associatedwith emerging biotechnologies, artificial intelligence in healthcare, public healthsystems, biosafety and biosecurity, and responsible innovation ecosystems in low-and middle-income settings. My academic and professional engagementsemphasize interdisciplinary collaboration, policy-oriented scientific inquiry, andinstitution-building efforts that connect science with society and governance.
