Vice Chancellor’s Address
On 21st May, 2025, I had the honor of assuming the role of Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University, an institution that embodies the timeless legacy of knowledge, global collaboration and intellectual pursuit.
As we revive the spirit of ancient Nalanda, our collective vision is to position the university as a global seat of learning, rooted in India’s rich intellectual heritage while embracing modern interdisciplinary approaches.
This quarter has been a vibrant period of academic excellence, research oriented international collaboration and sustainable initiatives. From fostering partnerships with global institutions to advancing our Net-Zero campus goals, Nalanda University continues to champion the ethos of as the world is one family. Our global academic diaspora has demonstrated remarkable commitment to scholarship, cultural exchange and environmental stewardship.
As we move forward, we are determined to strengthen our global connect, deepen research in Indian Knowledge Systems and create opportunities for our students to excel in interdisciplinary research and academic forums worldwide. Together, let us take the idea of India to the world, rekindling Nalanda’s ancient glory in a modern context.
