Nalanda University students interned at Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary, Karnataka

Four students from School of Ecology and Environment Studies Harsh Yadava, Anurodh Sachdeva, Tatsama Motilal and Himadari Shekhar Haldar completed winter internship with Karnataka Forest Department at Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary in Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka.Students successfully carried out surveys to analyse the socio-economic impact of villages on wildlife and the challenges faced by the villagers with respect to the wildlife, the grazing pressure and spread of weed species in the area and the condition of all the anti-poaching camps set up in the sanctuary. 

This internship equipped students with the experience of in-field conservation work carrying out in the the sanctuary.
