Arijit did his graduation in Zoology Honours from the University of Burdwan. His focus areas in research are biodiversity and evolutionary ecology. His vision is to conserve biodiversity from an evolutionary point of view. He wants to clear GATE to pursue his higher studies. He writes poem in his mother tongue and some of them are published in some magazines in West Bengal. He is a vivid traveler and an amateur photographer and he roams freely where his mind wants. Arijit has a keen interest in Indian culture and politics. Apart all of these, he wants to pursue his career in the field of politics

Bawi Hlei Hu has a Bachelor's in Economics from Dagon University and a Master's in International Human Right Law from Indian Society of International Law. His areas of interest are Human Rights and Social Work. He published a Refugee Handbook on the subject of “Chin Refugee situation in New Delhi” which was based on the premise-no war, no refugee. He has also worked at SLIC-UNHCR, India for four years.

Sristi Jha

Sristi has done B.Sc (Hons) in Environment Science from Vivekananda college, Thakurpukur, Kolkata. During her bachelors, Sristi has participated in and conducted several environmental studies ranging from Quadrat Analysis conducted at Nature Park and a village in Joka, Kolkata; Inclination and Erosion of Digha Sea beach of West Bengal; Estimation of Salt Water intrusion in Ground water in Digha, West Bengal; Solid Waste Management System of Kolkata and others. While in the summer of 2018, Sristi has studied the intricate relationship between Traditional Knowledge, Dhara Vikas (spring rejuvenation) and rural livelihood of Deythang communities in Sikkim. As a result, her interest in environmental Science spans across different domains. Although she aspires to establish herself as an environmentalist, Sristi’s enthusiasm and dynamism has left her open to work with teams at varying capacities. Her Immediate focus areas include Traditional Knowledge and its Conservation; Biodiversity Conservation; Access and Benefit Sharing arising from biological resources; and Environmental Ethics and Policy making.

He did his summer internship in Bio-tech lab at BHU on “Molecular and Physical characterisation of Maize Plant.” He wants to pursue research on sustainable and pollution free agriculture.

Gaurav has an undergraduate degree in Botany from Hans Raj College, University of Delhi and a diploma in Astrobiology from Indian Astrobiology Research Centre (IARC) Mumbai. A participant of International Paris Summit Climate Change Program COP21 in IARC (Mumbai), Centre for United Nations he received certificate of excellence from IARC. During his undergraduate studies he worked on pollution load in Yamuna river basin, Delhi. His future goal is to pursue research on glacier retreat and freshwater ecology. Gaurav is also a mountaineer and skier who completed his mountaineering in Sonamarg, Kashmir and skiing in Aru Valley, Kashmir from Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, Jammu and Kashmir. A mountain lover and traveller, Gaurav says he loves Himalayas and explores extensively in high altitude zones. His poem titled Athah Samudra ki Lahar and photograph ‘Sassurea obvallata’ have been published in peer-reviewed journal DU-Vidha.

His famous Invention is on Generation of Electricity from coal ash, wearable medical device, Agro-electronics devices, Sun tracker. Currently he is working on Solar operated digital education system and Rural Industrialization by setting up cluster of micro-industries. He got "PARYAVARAN RATNA AWARD" at the age of 14 followed by Global youth Entrepreneurs award, and many International and National awards. He is author of book named MIRACLE MINDS. He is founder of JhaLabs, which provides innovative solution in the field of renewable energy, medical electronics and energy efficient technologies, also he is associated with Technoculture Building Center Pvt. Ltd. as Scientific Advisor. He mentors student especially teenagers in different school across India.

Praveen completed his Bachelors in Metallurgical Engineering and then worked in Conflicts Minerals project for about 2.8 years. He joined the Master’s programme in Ecology and Environmental Science at Nalanda University because of his interest in Ecology and now has also developed interest in studying the impact of society on environment. He believes that the world needs to understand the importance of environment and requires more awareness on sustainable development. He plans to have carrier in Academics.
Tatsama Motilal

Tatsama has done B.Sc (Hons) in Physics from St.Xavier’s College, Kolkata. In her UG years, she created an electronic model for the Entrepreneurship Cell that aimed at converting waste heat into energy. She also worked on a project in Econo-Physics that developed simulations for wealth-exchange models. An interdisciplinary approach in the course structure inspired her to join Nalanda University. In December, 2016, she did a Winter Internship at the Forest Department of Karnataka where she worked to assess the impact of forest enclosures on wildlife at Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary. Her interest areas include Environmental and Energy Economics, Ecological Modelling and Sustainable Development. She aspires to work with international organizations in the fields of urban development planning and wildlife conservation. She wants to tackle environmental concerns through the lens of Ecological Economics and is an optimist in believing that we can all achieve something good in doing our tiny bit for the environment.

Aishwarya has a Bachelor's in Botany from BJB Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar. In the third year of her undergraduate studies, she had worked on "Carbon Sequestration in Mangrove Ecosystem". Her interest areas include-Wetlands, Carbon Sequestration, Climate Change, and Biodiversity conservation. In the long run, she intends to become a skilled and competent citizen of her country contributing to environment protection and sustainable management of natural resources. She wants to take up action research to find solutions for environmental problems. She also wants to pursue a career in teaching Ecology and Environment.

Sonam has her Bachelor's degree in Education in Biology and degree in (HPE) Health and Physical Education from Royal University of Bhutan. She has 8 years’ experience of working as higher school teacher. She is the focal person of youth initiative program, under NGO, “Be the Agent of Change”. She also worked as President of waste management project named “Clean Samtse Project” under state of Samtse. Her interest lies in gender equality and women empowerment yet she aspires to become environmentalist to protect and conserve rich environment in her country. Her dreams are to expertise herself in Human Rights and open up orphanage in Bhutan. She has volunteered as sports coordinator and as an active participant under NGO project “Respect Educate Nurture Empower Women” in Bhutan.

She was the Health Ambassador of India Health Line & Blood for India, and worked with Rotaract Club for environmental and social issues. Her interest areas are Urban Ecology, Phylogenetic methods, Gene Sequencing, Conservation, Social and Environmental issues, Eco restoration, Waste management, gathering traditional knowledge. Geetanjali's long term vision is to become a Social Scientist.

He is highly professional, organized and strategic individual with a zeal of promoting efficiency, effectiveness and productivity in any institute he finds himself. A good team player who also works well on his own. He has worked as an assistant in research related to renewable energy, desertification and conservation of mammals. Having come from the region of the world affected by desertification and inadequate energy supply, he aspires to explore the use of GIS & Remote Sensing in combating desertification, and comprehends the economics of energy supply and the ways to close the existing gap.

Dhivyalakshmi has completed the Special task Force (STF) training in Sathyamangalam reserve forest and has a keen interest in Ecosystem and biodiversity conservation research.

Anurodh Sachdeva did his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala. He has worked as an operation and maintenance engineer for the sustainability department of Trident Group, Budhni. He looked after the operations of Multi-Effect Evaporator (MEE) and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). He also worked as an intern for Jagriti Yatra, assisting them in fund raising, and managing their partnership with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). He was awarded School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) Fellowship for his project on providing alternate cooking systems in rural areas to tackle Indoor Air Pollution. His thrust areas are solid waste management, energy economics and indoor air pollution caused due to fuel wood.

During her Bachelor's internship, she worked for one year in the departments of Panchkarma, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and ENT. Her areas of interests are occupational health and environmental health. Her long term vision is to work as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist.

She has been passionate about environment from her school days and had also set-up a club Nature Saviours under WWF dedicated to environmental awareness and rescue operations during college. She has interned with community based NGO Educare and has helped in setting up Vikas Centre for socio-economic survey and social forestry. She has also been part of a project to assess "Impact of choppers flight on Wildlife in Kedarnath Wildlife sanctuary" under Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun.

He has exposure in the field of Public Policy and Social Change with the special focus on Right to Education from IIM-A. He has also presented a paper on Community Participation-Practices & Issues in a National Seminar on Community Radio at NIRD & PR. His work experience includes the internship in the NTPC Ltd., DUCC and DUCR. He has designed and developed two websites of University of Delhi (ducr.du.ac.in and vkrvrao.du.ac.in). Ashish aspires to work as an environmentalist after gaining his doctorate in this field.

Arunesh Upadhyay is a Mechanical Engineer with three years of hands-on experience in mechanical projects execution, knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and principles. He is familiar with standard mechanical engineering practices, methods, and techniques. He has managed the manpower of more than 50 workers at site engaged in mechanical fabrications & erections, it included calculation of quantity from drawing, measurement-billing, BOQ, Coordinated with the external vendors and participated in various meetings, reviewed the design of the systems. His thrust areas are Regional/Urban Environmental Planning, Water, Energy, Disaster Management, Ecological Engineering and Climate Change. He aspires to build his career in Sustainable Engineering and Green Designing.
