Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram, Lt. Gen. Nirbhay Sharma visited the Nalanda University at Rajgir, Nalanda on Friday, February 23, 2018. He was received by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University, Prof. Sunaina Singh at the Interim Campus. In a meeting with the Vice Chancellor he evinced keen interest in the progress of the University.The Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunaina Singh apprised him of the strides the University is taking in the deirection of establishing itself as an International University. She gave him a preview of the new courses that are going to be introduced. The Hon’ble Governor enquired about the students, faculty and the important role the university is playing as a knowledge ‘soft power’ in the South Asian region and in the global arena. The Governor was accompanied by his wife, Smt Jyotsna Sharma, who is herself an Educationist.
